CONCRETE COOLING

In hot countries, adding flake-ice to the mix helps to cool concrete faster. Around a hundred kilos of flake-ice per cubic metre are needed to produce the extra-high strength concrete required for civil engineering structures (bridges, power stations, dams, tunnels, etc.).

THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY

To produce dyes, a number of chemicals are mixed with water in a reactor to form a new molecule.

During the exothermic reaction, the temperature inside the reactor is controlled by adding flake-ice.
